Snowball sends notifications to help you stay on top of your debt payoff plan. Timely reminders keep you from missing payments, and milestone alerts celebrate your progress as you pay down each debt. You can control most of these preferences from your account settings so you only receive the messages that are useful to you.

Types of notifications

Snowball sends three categories of notifications:
  • Payment reminders — Alerts sent before a payment is due, so you never miss a scheduled payment on your payoff plan.
  • Milestone alerts — Celebratory notifications when you pay off a debt in full or reach a meaningful progress milestone in your plan.
  • Account notifications — Security-related messages such as confirmations when your password or email address changes.

Managing your notification preferences

To update which notifications you receive:
  1. Click your name or avatar to open the account menu.
  2. Select Account Settings.
  3. Navigate to the Notifications section.
  4. Toggle individual notification types on or off using the switches provided.
  5. Click Save preferences to apply your changes.
Enable payment reminders to avoid missing a payment — even one missed payment can set back your payoff plan.
Account security notifications (like password change confirmations) cannot be disabled — they protect your account.
